Raspberry Pi 5 Limitations

Raspberry Pi 5 comes with some limitations compared to the Yodeck Player (based on RPi 4). Particularly, the following features won’t work:

• Multi-zone layouts
  Layouts with multiple dynamic elements will make the playback slow and laggy. Dynamic are elements like Ticker, Video, dynamic Websites (with videos, gifs etc) or heavy Apps like PowerBI, Google Slides, Apps with videos

In this case we highly recommend that you buy a Yodeck Player or subscribe for an annual subscription and get the Yodeck Players for free.

Temporary Limitations

The following Yodeck features are not supported temporarily in RPi5:

• Interactive Playlist
• Interactive Kiosk
• RPi Virtual Keyboard
• Setup RPi WiFi without keyboard
• Set color depth (default 16bit)
• 4K gapless video playback (we suggest enabling Add black gap between videos for 4K videos)
• In 4K, the screenshot will pause for a moment the video playback/ticker
